OUR PHILOSOPHY
Language is a powerful tool that connects people and bridges cultural divides. Cultures can feel distant and remain inaccessible when one does not speak the language. It is this awareness that fuels our passion for language learning.
We embrace the belief ‘the future is better than today’, and are committed to fostering a more inclusive and accessible future for all. We aim to deconstruct traditional learning norms, alleviating the pain and suffering often associated with the learning process.
Our commitment extends to creating a welcoming space for neurodivergent individuals, maintaining a queer-friendly environment, and serving as a haven for quirky adults embracing a unique learning journey.
We recognize there is no one-size-fits-all approach and aim to deliver an innovative and singular learning experience. Informed by the latest insights in psychology and learning, we draw from Hung’s expertise in Psychology and Phuong’s academic background. We prepare you not just for certifications but also for everyday life in Germany, so you can say “What's up?” to your local Spätiman like one of the locals.
Our intimate class settings facilitate engaging interaction and active participation. We focus on real-world situations and make learning fun through edu-tainment. Learning through practice is key but having fun is THE fundamental building block of successful learning.
Zeitgeist Zentrum is more than a language school; it’s an inviting sanctuary, a vibrant community hub, where individuals come together to enjoy the comforts and pleasures that unite us all – language, culture, art, movement, and knowledge.
We collaborate and support small local businesses, organize a wide range of events, and believe in providing opportunities for everyone to thrive in our vibrant and growing community. Come join us...
INTERIOR DESIGN IN SCHOOLS
Given the fact that school buildings are one of the most important facilities in a community and considering the high occupancy rate of schools, they are undeniably uncomfortable, ugly, cold and therefore aren’t offering an optimal learning environment. As a student you might have been subject to discipline codes with restricted spontaneous behaviour in favour of individual comfort, which is also represented in the way most schools are designed.
DESIGN & LEARNING
Research has indicated that human performance is, among other factors, strongly dependent on visual, acoustic, and ergonomic comfort. Buildings play a significant role in our well-being and are also responsible for human comfort on emotional and cultural levels.
Therefore, at Zeitgeist Zentrum, we do things differently. We believe that comfort and aesthetics play a major role in learning productivity and creativity; as such, creating a space that encourages learning, development, and participation has been a top priority.
MULTIFUNCTIONALITY
Interior Design plays a major role in our concept. We teamed up with the published design talent Caterina Rancho, whose design brief entailed creating a multi-functional space for studying, sports, crafting, drama and events. We offer four rooms, each room offering several functions with a unique style. A class room can be turned into an event space at any time, another lets you converse in German with other fellow students in a cozy and charming atmosphere of a Berlin coffee shop or bar. The kitchen serves snacks and berverages during daytime and is used for cooking classes during weekends. Our yoga room can be used during breaks for personal meditation, recreation and relaxation.
