In a time of constant exposure and social tension, Between Worlds proposes another rhythm. Like the Berlin winter, we withdraw — not to disappear, but to process. From protective velvet interiors to the weight of urban reality in The Pulse of the City, the exhibition moves through states of retreat, confrontation, and return. In works such as 15 Céntimos por Kilo, Ute Brönner draws attention to the invisible labor that sustains our cities — migrant workers, informal economies, bodies that carry structural weight. This exhibition invites us to slow down, to metabolize what often feels indigestible, and to ask: who holds the city together, and at what cost?
